DRAFT 2020 IANA Numbering Services Review Committee Report

Hi friends,
As promised, I've coped our working copy of the 2019 report into the new draft of the 2020 report. Just like previous times, please use your Gmail/GSuite account so that you can see and make comments/updates directly into the draft. Otherwise, you might see only the text that has been already accepted. (Let me know if your experience differs from our current understanding of how Google Docs works.)
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1mFYtyZpHNQZwH-tcldSEEAmw7ck46YRQMXCgKmHC...
I've already suggested a number of changes to update the year from 2019 to 2020, and noted text and URLs that will need updating. I don't expect to have any real changes made to this draft until about December when probably all the RIR requests have been made to IANA.
Feel free to review and suggest improvements.
Louie

Thank you Louie!

Hi Louie,
I took a look at the current report. It's informative. Well thought out. I also wondered if a goal for the next version could be to cut the page count in half? I saw opportunity to boil it down. Theoretically, anyone in the "public" should be able to read it and make some sense of it with references. Would enjoy discussing on our next call.
Cheers,

Thanks, Martin. That idea is certainly worth exploring as much of the report is background information. The challenge is to strike the balance in order to have just enough background information for the "public" to understand it in the way you described.
I think we should also entertain the idea of putting an "executive summary" right at the top. This idea would be to put the conclusion in the beginning, and whoever is interested in the details can read on further.
