According with the procedures approved by LACNIC Board, during LACNIC 27 meeting (Foz de Iguazú, Brasil) was run the election for the position of Edmundo Cázarez which ends by December 2017.

As a result Esteban Lescano was elected and his term starts on January 1st 2018 ending on December 2019.
