Recognition of AfriNIC as the Fifth Regional Internet Registry

On 8 April 2005, during the ICANN Board meeting in Mar del Plata, Argentina, AfriNIC was finally recognized as the fifth Regional Internet Registry (RIR).

The Number Resource Organization (NRO) celebrates the event and welcomes AfriNIC to the Regional Internet Registry community.
